Hiking Friends- "Company matters" It is very important to do hiking with friends and Buddies with who you can have fun. As a mom, my priority is that my kids should have fun filled and an enjoyable day. For that, we did hiking with other Moms whose kids are the same age of my kids or may be little bit older. Hiking is an adventurous activity for kids which gives them the opportunity to connect with nature. We been lucky because we saw a DEER, FISHES AND BIRDS WATCHING (That's what my kids told me so not sure about that)!! So, that's a win -win situation.

Research Hiking trails, the area and local regulations- First decide which conservatory you are interested in going to?, For example we went to Heart lake conservatory https://trca.ca/parks/heart-lake-conservation-area/. It's kids friendly, has a lake, lots of trails and lots of different kind of habitats for example swamp, lake and trees. It has tree topping, zip line and splash pad too, but they are not open because of COVID-19.. So, best check their website before going their if you are specially interested in those activities and any specific things which is not allowed in the conservatory area to protect nature and animals.

Make a schedule- Collaborate with your buddies, what time you want to start. I found it easy and refreshing to go on hiking in morning, But it's up to you. We started in morning did Hiking until the afternoon and we had picnic in the park.

Dress according to weather- Dress according to weather, make sure keep extra warm coat. Because some time in the morning its cooler or windy. That's what happened to us , but luckily I have extra Jackets for myself anf for my kids.

Hiking shoes- To get most of it, make sure you have great Hiking shoes. Great Hiking shoes should have great grip to avoid trip or slide, comfortable, blister free and make sure to cut your toenails.

Make sure not to get lost- To make it a lifelong experience, we don't want to get lost and panic. So, to avoid this make sure your phone are charged and keep your power bank as a backup, bringing GPS or trail map is good idea too.

Bring snacks and extra garbage bag- Hiking is a tiring activity, It makes you hungry and I mean it a lot!!. especially with kids, you do not want to go back again to the car and get snacks. So, better pack enough snacks in the bag for your little hikers. We packed our some snacks in bags and left our picnic in car, so that after hiking we can have our picnic. make sure to have extra garbage bag to put all the disposable plates and left over after picnic to put in that bag.

Bring Gears- I think that to have fun and support while Hiking , Hiking stick is very handy gear, one should have to keep you going. Other than that Backpack, Picnic Mat and Tent if you are going for night hiking, Sleeping bags, Torch and extra Batteries.

Water Bottles- That is the most important thing you need for Hiking, because we do not want to dehydrate our body and loose all the fun. So make sure you pack 2l bottle with you. I packed couple of them with me and 1 kids Water Bottle with each of them had.

Inform your family Before leave- It is very important that you inform your family or friends where you are going, what time you are planning to return. So, that they know where to look if you get lost or injured.

These are the things you should plan before Hike. It is adventurous activity keep it simple and organized and let me know in the comment how many of these ideas were helpful for planning for Hiking?
